Religious Education Courses in the School of Religious Education Undergraduate Programs UNDERGRADUATE COURSES IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Postgraduatre coursework programs GRADUATE CERTIFICATE AND GRADUATE DIPLOMA OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION GRADUATE DIPLOMA OF EDUCTION -- Subject area Religious Education Postgraduate Research Programs DOCTOR OF EDUCATION in Religious Education DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY in Religious Education UNDERGRADUATE COURSES IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Undergraduates studying the Bacelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Education, pursuing qualifications as secondary teachers, can study Religious Education as either a major subject area or a minor. The courses cover basic studies in Theology and Scripture as well as fundamentals in Religious Education theory and practice. Theology and religious education are core units within the Primary education courses; for the Secondary education programs, religious education is an option. Studying religious education in these courses will enable a beginning teacher to have the appropriate qualifications for teaching religion (Eg. in Catholic schools).
