Interdisciplinary
study days at Strathfield: Since 1970, Father Kevin O'Shea
cssr has been conducting annual study days in the general areas
of Theology and Philosophy at Strathfield. Because of
his scholarship and experience in a number of fields (Philosophy,
Theology, Scripture, Psychology, Counselling) he brings to bear
a rich interdisciplinary perspective on his topics.
In addition, he has continued his own research, not only in his
specialist areas, but with the interface between religion and science,
where he has contributed not only in Australia but at international
conferences in Europe.
Kevin's study days have covered topics such as the Gospels, historical
Jesus studies, Theology of Atonement, Creation, Eucharist, Jubilee,
Modernity, Money, Science and Religion, Quantum perspectives on
philosophy and theology, God, the Trinity. He has given
special attention recently to contemporary writings in philosophy.
